What to Expect

As you enter the sanctuary, a greeter will welcome you with a worship program. If you’re not familiar with our style of liturgy, that’s okay! The program includes everything we say and do. You’re welcome to participate in our service as little or as much as you like.

While our service is rooted in ancient Christian form, we believe that liturgy should be accessible and engaging. Whether you’re new to church or a longtime Christian, you’ll find others just like you joining in a form of worship that is participatory, joyful and reverent.

We value congregational singing, using the best of classic and newly composed hymns, Psalms and spiritual songs. We pray for our area, our church, and the world. Readings from Scripture precede a sermon based on God's Word. Our service culminates weekly with Holy Communion, a celebratory feast open to all baptized Christians, from which we are sent out into the world as servants of Christ.

Following our 10 a.m. service, we gather for fellowship.

What About My Children?

To serve our growing number of families, Apostles offers a time of formation for our children during the first part of the 10:00 a.m. worship service. Our children rejoin the service after the Peace to share in Communion with the family.

Children, nursery through 3rd grade, begin the service in their designated classrooms.  Older children, 4th and 5th grade, begin the service in the sanctuary with their families and are dismissed before the scripture readings and sermon. They return with all the children for Communion. All of our classes follow an interactive curriculum called Godly Play.©

Nursery care is offered during the 10 a.m. service for newborns to infants. At this time, nursery and Godly Play classes are not offered during the 8 a.m. service.
